Democrats Miss Liberal Supply Of Limos

DENVER LACKS LUXURY RIDES: As thousands of delegates and media hounds descend on Denver later this month for the Democratic National Convention, some VIPs may have to settle for taxis, buses, or the ever-green option of bicycles, to get around town. The demand for limousines has far outstripped supply.

A TV website report details the difficulties for the Dems. Gene Cookenboo, president of the Limousine Association of Colorado and owner of Presidential Limousine, the largest limo service in Denver, is quoted in the report.

LCT Magazine's September issue will feature an extended feature by contributing editor Camella Lobo about how Denver and Minneapolis operators are preparing for the quadrennial moneymakersfor limousine and chauffeured vehicle companies.

This summer's bipartisan limousine deficits could leave a lot of limousine liberals or chauffeured conservatives -- looking for a Yugo or a Yaris.
