Programming Note: Taking Out The Trash

1) Over the last few days, we've been inundated with some of the most vile and perverse spam on the feedback option that would even make an entire frat house blush.

2) Some recent "a non ymous" comments resorted to name-calling and personal attacks, and statements that simply say "this is stupid," or "this is dumb," without explaining why. We encourage differing, critical points of view as long as they are explained and expressed in a manner more articulate than what you would find in a sandbox full of scrapping 2-year-olds.

3) Finally, we still remember the derogatory comments attached to an industry obituary last year that led to our first round of comment moderation. If I could ask for just one silver lining to this recession, it would be to deep-six and drive out of business only those operators who have led us to reasons Nos. 2 and 3.
