Michael Campos joined LCT Magazine as assistant editor on January 3, 2011. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California’s English/Creative Writing program. NOW DO IT IN CA: Such efforts invariably cause some inconveniences, as they are imperfect but overall worthwhile. The Greater California Livery Association would be thrilled if the California Public Utilities Commission were this aggressive in catching illegal operators. -- M.R.
