LCT EAST: Industry Hotspot For Winners

SUCCEEDING WITH LCT EAST: Jacobs shared some of his insights earlier this week in LCT E-News, while Atkins offers this letter to LCT below:

Dear LCT:

I have been in business since 1987 and never attended an industry show until I tried the LCT Eastern Conference for the first time in 2008. I had no idea how much I had been missing. I used to write off shows as being for the big guys and for a bunch of back slapping. How wrong I was.

I attended LCT East with the main goal of meeting affiliates face-to-face. What I didn't expect was that I would learn a lot more that I could carry with me throughout the rest of the year.

Where else are you able to talk with those operators who run the top limousine services in the nation?

At the LCT events, there is no competition among the operators but rather a collaborative way of sharing best practices. Along with top operators, I met owners of limousine companies of all sizes.

The educational sessions were extremely helpful as you heard directly from top people and what they do to succeed.

I also attended the training session with speaker Bob Negan from Whizbang.
I had never heard of Bob Negan before. But after listening to him, I learned many ways to implement new marketing and customer service skills. I even traveled to Michigan in June to The Whizbang Training Seminar for three days. This was an investment in my business.

The proof is in the results. After two decades in business, Red Bank Limo is up more than 20% compared to last year. We have increased our fleet and added SUV service. We also recently won Lancer's Safety Excellence Award. Our new customer acquisition rate is strong and we are building long lasting relationships with customers.

If you are sitting there worrying about your costs and your business can’t survive without you, think instead how your business would be if you achieved a 20% increase compared to last year.

So if you invest $235 to attend the LCT Eastern Conference, that's less than a $20 per month cost over the course of a full year. So don't wait and just watch what is happening around you. If you don’t change what you're doing today, tomorrow you will get the same results.

Think "What if?..."
