INTERVIEW: 87-year old Maurice McEvoy, formerly of Cape Cod Limousine, had a close connection with the Kennedy family and provided 23 limousines for the wedding of Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
“They were a good couple. They liked to walk around Main Street and have breakfast and they were always together. I don’t know, it’s hard to judge other people,” McEvoy said.
McEvoy said that sometimes Schwarzenegger would say, “Oh, let me drive, let me drive!” and McEvoy would sit in the back sometimes and let him drive. “He was a very comical guy.”
The news that Schwarzenegger fathered a lovechild surprised McEvoy, who said that it doesn’t sound like the Arnold he knew. “He was so good to his own mother,” McEvoy said, “and that’s how you judge people – how did they treat their mother?”
