LOS ANGELES —
KLS Worldwide Chauffeured Services of Los Angeles is expanding its inventory of child seats and offering them free of charge to all customers who request them in their reservations at least 24 hours in advance. While KLS and other limousine companies are not required to offer child seats, the company has decided to offer them to clients in another example of their charitable efforts.
A new law enacted in California on Jan. 1, 2012 requires booster seats, or child seats, for children up to age seven, unless they are more than 49-inches tall. The previous law only required child seats for passengers up to six years old or less than 60 pounds.
