Operator Boosts Child Seat Count As Courtesy To Clients

LOS ANGELES —KLS Worldwide Chauffeured Services of Los Angeles is expanding its inventory of child seats and offering them free of charge to all customers who request them in their reservations at least 24 hours in advance. While KLS and other limousine companies are not required to offer child seats, the company has decided to offer them to clients in another example of their charitable efforts.

A new law enacted in California on Jan. 1, 2012 requires booster seats, or child seats, for children up to age seven, unless they are more than 49-inches tall. The previous law only required child seats for passengers up to six years old or less than 60 pounds.

In addition to offering free child seats upon request, KLS Worldwide Chauffeured Services engages in a variety of charities, including SmileTrain, a charity that provides cleft surgery repair to children in impoverished countries.

To learn more about KLS and its owner, Alex Darbahani, read the latest feature on the company in the February 2012 issue of LCT Magazine, which can also be found by clicking here.
