Diesel-powered BMW 7 Series Headed To U.S.

Car and Driver reports that the revamped 2013 BMW 7 Series luxury sedan will be offered in the U.S. with a diesel option next year. It will be powered by a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel inline-six engine. This move makes BMW the third German automaker to plan a diesel flagship sedan in the U.S. The other two are Mercedes-Benz, which offers a six-cylinder S350 BlueTec luxury sedan, and Audi, which will sell its A8 3.0 TDI sometime in the next year.
